Hi, I’m Spike. My hobbies include photography, travel and touching my face every 45 seconds. I’m not dead yet, which is a blessing. My family is safe and healthy and I’d like to give thanks and help those who aren’t. I’m asking you to join me in donating any amount you can to COVID-19 relief efforts. If you’re sitting on your phone or computer right now then you can probably afford $5 or $10. If everyone reading this did so, we’d make an impact.
For those who can afford to donate more, I’ve created some incentives:
1.) Donate $50 and I’ll send you a random photo I took with a personally-written thank you.
2.) Donate $150 and I’ll send you one of my photographs (your choice) turned into a puzzle to do while you “Stay At Home.” (retail value: $39)
3.) Donate $500 and I’ll send you a collection of our rare, out-of-print Phone Scam CDs (retail value: priceless!) * limited to first 8 people who claim them
*** The best part: I’ll match your donations up to $2,500… so your donation is being doubled! Directions below…
Here’s what do to: Click one of the links below and donate what you can. If you’re interested in one of the 3 incentives above, forward the email receipt of your donation to me at email@example.com (Email only so I can keep track, please don’t DM or Snap.) Make sure your full name and mailing address is included so I can follow through with your gift.
United Way of Washtenaw County has established a COVID-19 Relief Fund to ensure people and families in need can access food, housing, health care, financial resources and other supports. The initial focus will be on rapid response in support of front-line agencies providing services to our most vulnerable populations.
Feeding America has a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries. They are currently supporting the most vulnerable communities affected by the pandemic including Metro Detroit through Forgotten Harvest and Gleaners Food Bank.
And finally… for all of those keeping us all afloat – the frontline healthcare providers, first responders, truck drivers, grocery store employees, teachers trying to support their students, non-profit workers – too many to name… THANK YOU! There aren’t enough words in the world to express my gratitude to you. -Spike
